    When connecting to a network share from a windows 7 system, you may loose connection to the share, and if real noticable when playing shared music or video.
  • Recreate Issue
    When listening to music or watching a video from a shared folder location on your network through a Windows 7 computer, you may experiance this issue.
  • Resolve Issue


    From [Start]
    [Control Panel]
    [Administrative Tools]
    [Local Security Policy]

    When the [Local Security Policy] window opens, navigate to the following location
    [Local Polocies]
    [Security Options]
    Local the [Network Security: LAN Manager authentication level]
    Open its property page up, and select from the dropdown list
    [Send LM & NTLM - use NTLMv2 session security if negotiated]

    You may have to reboot your computer for the settings to take effect.
