  • Short Desc
    When starting a server in the Network Load Balancing Cluster, you may receive the following error if the server has gone stale "Cluster IP address not added to TCPIP properties."
  • Details
    A stale server in the Network load Balancing Cluster will not start due to the following error, "Cluster IP address not added to TCPIP properties."
  • Recreate Issue
    You will receive this error if a server has been offline for an extended time.
    The easiest way around this error is described below.
  • Resolve Issue
    Step #1:
    Remove the server from the NLB cluster.

    Right-click on the server you are having issues with.
    Select [Delete Host]
    Choose [Yes] from the dialog.

    Step #2:
    Add the server back to the NLB cluster team.

    Right-click on the Domain name
    choose [Add Host To Cluster]
    Type the Server name into the Host: Example: ArrCore
    Then click [Connect]

    Choose from the IP Addresses in the list.
    Click [Next>]
    Next page, [Host Parameters] This can be left default.
    Click [Next>]
    Next page, [Port Rules] Edit what may need to be changed.
    The Port Rules are needed in this error; once this is completed, you will no longer receive the error.
    Click [Finish]
