    During the installation of SQL Server 2005 Enterprise Edition, you may experience the following issues if you are installing the Reporting Services during your installation.

     

    Event ID: 10005
    Product Microsoft SQL Server 2005
    Error 29561
    SQL Server Setup failed to retrieve the SSL Certificate Name.


     

    Event ID: 11603
    Product Microsoft SQL Server 2005
    Error 1603
    SQL Server Setup failed to retrieve the SSL Certificate Name.
  • Recreate Issue
    To recreate this issue:

    Scenario #1:
    During installation, check to install Reporting Services.
  • Resolve Issue
    To resolve this issue:

    Scenario #1:
    Choose to NOT install Reporting Services during installation.
    When you have this option checked to install, and you do not have a SSL connection, you will receive the error.
