    With Dell system's, there seems to be an issue with the Network Adapter loosing connection when it is set at "AUTO". This causing the Network cable unplugged warning to show on the card.

    Dell system's running Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7 either 64 or 32 Bit system's network adapter (Local Area Connection)

  • Recreate Issue
    To recreate this issue:

    With Dell System's, there is not real reason why this issue happens, and it is really hard to narrow it down to its origin. However, to recreate the issue.

    Right click on the [Local Area Connection]
    Go to [Properties]
    Then click on [Configure]
    Then click on the [Advanced] tab
    The scroll down
    Click on [Link Speed & Duplex]
    Change its Value to: [100mbps FULL] (0r) [100mbps HALF] (0r) [Auto]
    Click [OK]

    You would think that Dell would have released a fix for this issue, however, searching the internet, I was unable to come up with a fix for this issue.
  • Resolve Issue
    To resolve this issue:

    Right click on the [Local Area Connection]
    Go to [Properties]
    Then click on [Configure]
    Then click on the [Advanced] tab
    The scroll down
    Click on [Link Speed & Duplex]
    Change its Value to: [10mbps FULL] (0r) [10mbps HALF]
    Click [OK]
