    Sometimes when you are browsing, your Search Provider might get changed without your knowledge. This happen quite a bit, and is right annoying. In some cases, it can cause some major issue, in other cases, such as the one explained in this KB article, it is right simple to remove and reset.

  • Recreate Issue

    Some program has reset your Search provider.
    This is a simple fix, please see below on instructions.
  • Resolve Issue
    To resolve issue.

    In Internet Explorer 8
    Click on [Tools] (From the menu)
    Click on [Manage Add-Ons]
    Then click on [Search Providers]
    Click on [Live Search] choose [Default]
    Then click on [Google.com] choose [Remove]

    In Internet Explorer version previous to 8, please view documentation on removing add-ons.
    In Internet Explorer Version 9, the above information should work with it, as it does with 8.
