    When trying to logout of the site, you may encounter the following error if your are using cookies or sessions and you are not properly deleting the object.

  • Recreate Issue
    To recreate this issue.

    The following code is used to Request the object, not to Delete the object
    <%
    Request.Cookies("cookie")("name") = ""
    %>
  • Resolve Issue
    To resolve this issue.

    The below code will Delete the cookie.
    <%
    Response.Cookies("cookie")("name") = ""
    %>

    As you can tell, we have changed the [Request.cookie] to [Response.cookie]
    This is the proper way to delete you cookie.
