Windows 7 cannot access intranet websites when first added to the workgroup.

Windows 7 cannot access intranet sites when first attempting to access them. You have to keep trying to get Windows 7 to finally pull the pages up, but once Windows 7 pulls the first intranet site, it will not have any issues pulling up the other sites on the intranet.

I am open to comments on why this issue happens. I think it is either a security feature or Windows 7 has to build up its cache, but I'm not sure either is accurate in explaining why this happens.

It took Windows 7 over 2 minutes to load the first page.

Windows XP, Windows 2000, and Windows NT 4.0 Server do not have this issue.

To resolve this issue, keep loading the pages in your web browser until the sites are fully loaded. Depending on network traffic, this could take 30 seconds to several minutes.
