Recreate IssueAfter running slmgr.vbs -rearm
After reboot, Windows shows that you have only 10 days left, not the 180 days expected.
Resolve IssueThere could be multiple reasons you only get 10 days instead of the 180-day extension when running the -rearm. Here we will list them all as they become available.
- Make sure you have an internet connection.
If performing the -rearm on a Microsoft Windows machine, make sure you have an Internet connection. For example, open google.com and see if the page loads on the machine. If so, then there must be another issue besides the Internet. - Is the machine part of a Domain with a DC (Domain Controller)?
Running the -rearm on a machine behind a DC, which the machine has listed in its IP Config DNS Server settings.
This DC must be online, so make sure the DC can connect to the Internet.
Then, ping the DC from the machine running the -rearm command to ensure it is seen.
