When installing SQL Server 2005 Enterprise, you might experience the following error while installing Reporting Services. SQL Server Setup failed to retrieve the SSL Certificate Name.
Issue Details
During the installation of SQL Server 2005 Enterprise Edition, you may experience the following issues if you are installing the Reporting Services during your installation.
Events From Windows Event Viewer
Event ID: 10005 Product Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Error 29561 SQL Server Setup failed to retrieve the SSL Certificate Name.
Event ID: 11603 Product Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Error 1603 SQL Server Setup failed to retrieve the SSL Certificate Name.
Recreate Issue
During installation, check to install Reporting Services.
Resolve Issue
Choose NOT to install Reporting Services during installation. When you have this option checked and there is no SSL connection, you will receive the error.
