When you try to install Quake 4 on Windows 7, you may encounter the Library Not Recognized error.

Issue Details

When installing certain applications within Windows 7, you will have to have Administration Rights; if you do not, you will receive the following error.

Quake 4 Loading Error
Library Not Recognized

Recreate Issue

Launch the Installer without Administrator Rights.

Resolve Issue

[Run Installer as Administrator]

Browse into the main folder of the CD.
Right Click on the [Install.exe]
Choose [Run As Administrator]
Follow Prompts.
