Issue DetailsIf you are having issues or problems with your Printer, such as warning that the spool has crashed, then you might have to reinstall your printer drivers. This is a simple process as described below.
Resolve IssueTo uninstall the drivers, perform the following actions.
Go to [
Start] then [
Printer and Faxes]
(or)
[
My Computer] | [
Control Panel] | [
Printer and Faxes][
Right Click] on the Printer that you are experiencing issues with, and choose [
Delete]
You will see the following dialog.
Are you sure you want to delete the printer 'Printer Name Here'?
Click [Yes]
You may encounter a duplicate printer after the initial Printer is deleted. In this case, perform the same as above, by [Right Click] and [Delete] of that duplicated Printer.
After you have successfully deleted the Printer, perform the following.
- Click on [Add Printer]
- When the dialog appears, click on [Next]
- Choose either [Local] or [Network Printer].
- The system will scan to find the Printer and install the drivers.
