    When using the Paragon Backup and Recovery software to create the paragon Recovery Media Builder, your cd rom drive may cause the following error.
  • Details
    Using the Paragon Recovery Media Builder software with certain CD Rom drives may not work. And when this happens you will receive a non-informational error stating:

     
    Recovery Media Builder
    unable to perform the operation
  • Recreate Issue
    To recreate this issue:

    Your CD Rom drive may work properly, but will not work with the Paragon Recovery Media Builder software.
  • Resolve Issue
    To resolve this issue:

    If you have another CD Rom drive, attach it to the system in question and perform the Paragon Recovery Media Builder again.

    Once the software completes, you will receive the following message dialog.

     
    Recovery Media Builder
    Completed the Recovery Media Builder
    The Recovery Media has been successfully created.


    Note
    It is strongly recommended that you test the Recovery Media CD for issues, as you do not know to have a bad CD when you have to restore your OS.

    To perform this action:
    Click on [Tools]
    The click [Check Recovery Discs]
    Follow the prompts
    When completed, if successful, you will receive the following message.

     
    Check Recovery Disc Wizard
    Completed the Check Recovery Disc Wizard
    Congratulations, you have successfully completed the Check Recovery Disc Wizard with the following results:
    This Media is a bootable recovery disc.


    Once you see this message, remove the CD and label it as a Recovery CD
