    When installing JVCL, you may experience the following error if all required paths are not added to the Library. Required package 'Jcl' not found
  • Details
    When installing JEDI JCL and JVCL manually, you must ensure you add all required library paths. This is very important for a smooth installation without error.
  • Recreate Issue
    Missing the correct Library paths will cause this and many other errors.
  • Resolve Issue
    If you manually install the Jedi JCL and JVCL component packages, you must have the following.

    #1: Install the JCL Packages.
    #2: Add the paths to your Library.
    This is done by performing the following.
    From the Main Menu,
    click [Tools]
    Then click [Options]
    When the window opens.
    Expand [Language]
    Then [Delphi]
    Then click [Libary]
    In the right panel, click the ellipse button for [Library Path]
    Add in your library paths from the list below.


    (My path is the A drive, change to your path)

    A:\Embarcadero\Studio\Components\Jedi\jcl\source\common
    A:\Embarcadero\Studio\Components\Jedi\jcl\source\include
    A:\Embarcadero\Studio\Components\Jedi\jcl\source\vcl
    A:\Embarcadero\Studio\Components\Jedi\jcl\source\windows
